You've Gotta Start Somewhere...

Today was wonderful.  Shelton came home for the first time.  This morning when Cooper and I were leaving for first service Burns headed downtown to pick our oldest up to spend the day with us.  He was able to come to church and go to lunch with us.  He did a great job of getting around and feeling as comfortable as he could for his first time being "out" since the incident.  We all came home and while Burns, Shelton and Coop rested I got some cleaning done around here.  We then Skyped with our family in Serbia so they could see Shelton for the first time and then all went to Wal-Mart together.  All in all it was a very normal day.  We needed it.  There isn't much else to say other than we're all very tired.  It took us much too long to get the chair out of the car and help get Shelton into it and we know he will sleep well tonight.  However, as he said on the way home while in some pretty decent pain from being in the chair all day, we've got to start somewhere.  And today was just that, a great start!
